■アフリカにて、バイオ炭事業（農業土壌改良、生物多様性、気候変動）

日🇯🇵→アフリカ🇰🇪🇺🇬9年→インド🇮🇳1年半→北千住とアフリカ往復中

現在は、ウガンダ、ザンビア、ケニア、南アフリカなどで、農業残渣をバイオ炭に変え、土壌改良、農家所得向上、カーボンクレジットにつなげる事業を進めています。

アクセンチュアで働いた後に、
2014年にウガンダで宅配事業 CourieMate を創業し、全国135県をカバーする物流網を構築。2020年にヤマハ発動機へ事業譲渡しました。
その後、南インド・バンガロールで廃棄物・コンポスト関連事業に取り組み、現在は北千住を拠点に活動しています。

事業だけでなく、人がどう変わるのか、土地や自然とどう関係を結ぶのかにも関心があります。
生物多様性のフィールドワーク、都市緑地や水辺の観察、チベット仏教・ヴィパッサナー瞑想、非言語・身体知への関心、最近は新作落語づくりにも取り組んでいます。

Jun Ito

I work between Japan and Africa, building businesses at the intersection of soil, agriculture, climate change, and local communities.

I currently lead biochar projects in Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, and South Africa, converting agricultural residues into biochar for soil improvement, farmer income enhancement, and carbon credits.

In 2014, I founded CourieMate in Uganda and built a nationwide delivery network covering all 135 districts. The business was transferred to Yamaha Motor in 2020. I later worked on waste and compost-related business development in Bangalore, India, and am now based in Kitasenju, Tokyo.

Beyond business, I am interested in how people, places, nature, and communities transform together.
My current explorations include biodiversity fieldwork, urban green spaces and watersheds, Tibetan Buddhism and Vipassana meditation, non-verbal and embodied knowledge, and recently, creating contemporary rakugo stories.
